Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10. Soon after it, Tyler Robinson reportedly turned himself in for allegedly taking the shot. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 16, 2026.

Meanwhile, on November 18, 2 News reported that they filed a public records request to access footage of Robinson entering the Washington County Jail/holding area. However, the Sheriff's office responded:

“We do not have any records responsive to this portion of the request, as Tyler Robinson did not go to or enter the jail area."

In an interview with Myron Gaines on YouTube, published on November 18, she said that Kirk sent a message to a TPUSA member before his death. She said:

"I don't like the silence from Turning Point employees. I know for a fact one of them, I'm not going to name, has a text message from Charlie the day before he died saying, 'They are going to kill me.' Now, he was not referring to the trans lobby when he wrote that message."

Further slamming Turning Point USA, Owens added:

"I've made that clear, and nobody is going to emotionally manipulate me and tell me that it's all good now. And to attack Turning Point would be to attack his legacy... He knew he was going to die young and strangely knew that I was going to be the only person to defend him."

Candace Owens also shared a theory about Kirk's death. She said that there is "no question in her mind that it was a military hit". She claimed that some employees at Turning Point USA allegedly knew about this and worked towards it as well.
