Candace Owens has claimed that Tyler Bowyer and his wife are "swingers" after the latter indicated that Owens' husband should seek a divorce from her. The comment was regarding Owens sharing some of her theories about Charlie Kirk's death and conspiracies related to it.
In an X post dated December 12, popular conservative activist Tyler Bowyer seemingly fired shots at Candace Owens. He wrote:
"If my wife was posting about how innocent people who were friends, family or the spouse of Charlie Kirk murdered Charlie Kirk— I would skip counselling and head straight for the divorce lawyer’s office."
In response, Owens quoted the aforementioned post on the same day and wrote:

Candace Owens has been sharing conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk's death since the activist was shot dead with a single bullet in September this year. At the time of the assassination, Kirk was delivering a talk for TPUSA at Utah Valley University.
Owens has made multiple theories about Kirk's death since the incident. She was reportedly a close friend of the conservative activist and a former member of Turning Point USA. She has shared conspiracy theories alleging the involvement of Israel and also pointed fingers at the leadership of TPUSA.
Further, Owens has alleged the involvement of the US military in Charlie Kirk's death and has also attacked Erika Kirk, who has now taken over as the CEO of TPUSA.
Erika Kirk responds to Candace Owens' conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk's death
In an interview with CBS News editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss, Charlie Kirk's wife, Erika Kirk, was asked to comment on Candace Owens' conspiracy theories about Kirk's death. Weiss said that Owens was "building a business" based on "lies" about Charlie Kirk, and asked Erika what she wanted to tell Owens. She responded:
"Stop. That's it. That's all I have to say. Stop."
After Erika Kirk's clip went public, Candace Owens also responded to her, raising questions about why she was accused of allegedly lying about Charlie Kirk. Speaking on her eponymous podcast on the same day, she said:
"So Erika would like me to stop lying, and I would like to honor that. Okay. I can only honor that if Erika is more explicit in terms of what I have lied about. What did I lie about?"
Speaking about Bari Weiss' allegations, she said:
"What are you talking about? I already had this business. I was already at top of the chart. Okay, I said I wasn't going to talk about it. I actually did because it's so ridiculous."
Candace Owens also claimed Erika's interview was part of a PR campaign, and added:
"I guess this is kind of the final stop. I'm hoping it's the final stop of this PR campaign where they are now pivoting and bringing Erika out to signal to the public that we can't question her judgment, right? Because she's a widow. We can't question her judgment. And I want to say that I reject that. I reject emotional manipulation."
Earlier this week, Candace Owens also questioned Erika Kirk taking over as the CEO of TPUSA very soon after Charlie Kirk's death. She believed the widow should have been given time to grieve, so she could answer questions directed at her better.
