On Tuesday, December 9, Miley Cyrus released her latest music video for the song Dream As One. The song is part of James Cameron's newest addition to the Avatar franchise, titled Avatar: Fire & Ash.

The Lightstorm Entertainment film is the third installment in the Avatar series and a sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water. It features a star-studded cast, including Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, CCH Pounder, Dileep Rao, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Stephen Lang, and Sam Worthington, among others.

Hours after the music video was released, Perez Hilton took to his blog to rave about Miley Cyrus' latest work.

"Miley Cyrus looks like a dream straight from Pandora in her new visuals for Dream As One!" wrote the popular podcaster.

He continued, waxing lyrical about Cyrus' looks in the 3:30-minute video:

"Throughout the video, the songstress dazzles in the classic blue lights of the Avatar world as she belts out the lyrics," opined Perez Hilton.

For the uninitiated, Dream as One has also been nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes 2026. It is Cyrus' third nomination in the category after Beautiful That Way. Miley Cyrus took to X to announce the launch of the music video. She wrote:

"It’s been one beautiful moment after the next lately… so much to celebrate, including our Golden Globe nomination for Dream As One from Avatar: Fire And Ash. It’s been a fantasy come to life being a part of the Avatar adventure."

The iconic Hannah Montana star continued:

"Feeling grateful for the fire of fate that rebuilt what I wanted in deeper alignment with the needs of my soul. This song has become a symbol of transformation, power, and the entering of a new era for anyone who’s ever risen from their own ashes. When we dream as one, we create a new reality. I love you."

Dream As One has already crossed 200k views within just 24 hours of being posted on YouTube.

When Miley Cyrus claimed she was the "first person" to ever "be canceled"

On October 5, 2025, CBS Sunday Morning released an interview with Miley Cyrus in which the songstress claimed to be the first person to ever be canceled. During the discussion, Cyrus revisited her iconic 2013 MTV VMA performance with host Tracy Smith.

When Smith asked if "moms" were trying to cancel her after the controversies that followed, she replied:

“I was the first person to maybe ever be canceled, I guess… Well, you know, I didn't know until I was older actually, how brutal it really was because it was very, I guess, you know, challenging for other people, but for me, it was a good time. It looked fun, and it was fun.”

This isn't the first time Cyrus has opened up about her viral 2013 VMA performance. In May, the songstress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and explained how the show helped in the making of her iconic career moment.

“Let me tell you, I am so happy to see you in my new era. This new era is very sophisticated and I have to tell you, your show allowed me to create the VMAs in 2013,” she told Kimmel.

Cyrus continued:

“I came here first and I kind of used the show as a trial run, you know, where I dance as a teddy bear like half naked, and everyone thought I was crazy. But to see if it was going to work, I did it here first.”

The songstress ended the discussion by explaining that the performance inspired her to use the stage for "something much bigger" and impactful.
