American political commentator and podcaster Candace Owens recently shared her thoughts on feminism. On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the media personality made an appearance on Myron Gaines’ podcast and revisited her college day incident that made her start hating feminism.
When the host asked Candace Owens:
“For you on your journey, when did you like figure out that feminism was a lie? Like, was there a certain event that triggered it that you were like, ‘Holy crap, this is this is BS.’”
The 36-year-old recalled an incident involving one of her teachers from her college days, and said:
“I was required to take a feminism 101. It was called women’s studies… And at that time, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m a feminist.’ Of course, who doesn’t want equality as they sold it?”
Continuing her story, she added:
“It gets into this classroom. And this teacher, I realized very quickly, was not actually motivated by wanting equality. She was I was in a classroom where she was trying to convince me that every problem that we had in society was due to men. This was a literal class that was designed to basically teach women to hate men.”
Candace further alleged that her teacher’s dislike towards men became “laughable” for her after some point. The far-right commentator also recalled disagreeing with the same teacher about her anorexia eating disorder after the latter blamed men for that too.
“I’m listening to her try to psychologically convince me that my eating disorder came from a man when it just factually didn't… Everything couldn’t be because of men. So I think that was kind of the first time that it clicked for me that this was some sort of a psychological program.”
Meanwhile, according to The Guardian, Candace Owens, over the past five years, has reportedly become a polarizing figure for her comments on Black Lives Matter and the #MeToo movement. She also became one of the leading commentators on the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni scandal, as well as spreading conspiracy theories around Brigitte Macron, French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife, being “born a man”.
Candace Owens claps back at critics for calling her a “hypocrite” for her take on feminism

During her sit-down with Myron Gaines, Candace Owens also called out critics who labelled her a “hypocrite” for her views on feminism.
When the host asked Candace:
“What would you say to the people that sit there and try to call you a hypocrite… What would your response be to those critics?”
She replied:
“First and foremost, do not allow people to rule you by exceptions. What I mean by that is, do it is such a mistake to look at my life and to say Candace did this and so therefore I can do this. My life is actually exceptional.”
Candace also compared how men and women “measure success”. She claimed that it's important for women not to think that becoming “financially rich” somehow means that they are successful or that they have “triumphed something in life.”
For the unversed, elsewhere in the interview, Candace Owens also talked about her kids, her thoughts on Donald Trump’s presidency and his current administration, and the killing of late activist Charlie Kirk.
