"You know a man by his fruits" - Nebraska volleyball’s Rebekah Allick reacts to Charlie Kirk's massive memorial service

After paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, Nebraska volleyball’s Rebekah Allick reacted to his memorial service, which saw a massive turnout. It was held on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, a nonprofit organization promoting conservative politics on college campuses, was fatally shot while delivering a lecture at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

The memorial was attended by his wife, Erika Kirk; President Donald Trump; members of the president’s Make America Great Again movement; and Vice President JD Vance. It honored the legacy of the political activist and highlighted the influence of his Christian faith.

The event saw an overwhelming crowd, a video of which Allick shared on her Instagram Story. She penned a message that suggested that Kirk’s character was shaped by his actions and thoughts:

Allick is a middle hitter for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and is considered one of the crucial players for the team, having led the team as captain at multiple games.

Nebraska volleyball’s Rebekah Allick attended a memorial service for Charlie Kirk at the school's student union on Sept. 17. She later shared a picture of the right-wing political activist's family, including his wife Erika and their kids, and penned a quote by Pope John Paul II.

She further paid her tribute to Kirk, praising him as a good man, father and husband who led people towards faith.

"May God rest his soul," Allick wrote. "He was a father, a husband… a man. He died doing what I believe God put him on this earth to do. To educate and encourage the youth to ask hard questions and to come closer to Jesus. May we all find comfort in knowing he is with God."

"This is just the beginning of the United States coming together. May we look at each other with more humanity. May God help us all."

Rebekah Allick is poised to next compete for Nebraska on Wednesday against visiting Michigan at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
