After recording a perfect season with a victorious streak, the Nebraska Volleyball team will next compete in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Nebraska Volleyball team registered a 30-0 record in the 2025 regular season. The Huskers defeated Ohio State on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, to conclude their unbeaten regular season.

They dominated the faceoff with a 3-0 score after listing a 25-16, 25-13, 25-20 sweep in front of 8,461 fans, while celebrating the seniors' night. With this feat, the Huskers posted the regular season unbeaten for the third time in the program's history, having previously recorded it in 1994 and 2000. Their 30 straight victories are the fourth-longest win streak in the program's history.

The Nebraska Volleyball team will next compete against the Long Island University Women's Volleyball team on Friday, December 5, 2025, in a home game at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Huskers will compete against the champions of the Northeast Conference in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The faceoff will mark the program's 44th straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

The Huskers are entering the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championships as the No. 1 overall seed. They have previously faced Long Island University during the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2023, which they won with 25-13, 25-16, 25-22. While the Nebraska team is entering the tournament with a 30-0 record, Long Island University has registered 20-8.

While the Huskers will lock horns with the Long Island University Women's Volleyball team at 7:00 p.m. CST, San Diego and Kansas State will compete against each other on the same day at 4:30 p.m. CST. The winners of the two clashes will meet in the second round of the tournament on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. CST.

If the Huskers secure a win against the LIU, they will compete against the San Diego (25-4) or the Kansas State (17-9) teams. While the Huskers have recorded an undefeated season so far, the San Diego team seems to be a potential threat to conclude their pursuit for the championship title as they have only lost four matches.
