Dani Busboom Kelly waxed lyrical about the Nebraska volleyball team's performance after the Cornhuskers defeated the USC Trojans in straight sets on the road on Sunday. The Huskers also ended the Trojans' unbeaten nine-match streak that was USC's longest unbeaten streak in the last 10 years.
Nebraska (26-0, 16-0 Big Ten) registered a comfortable 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 victory in front of a sold-out Galen Center. Bergen Reilly continued to play an integral role with 42 assists and 14 digs. Harper Murray added 10 kills, Rebekah Allick added nine kills and Andi Jackson continued her dominance on the attacking front with a .467 hitting percentage.
Dani Busboom Kelly lauded Nebraska's balance. After losing a set in a 3-1 win at UCLA on Friday, she said that the team stepped up with great confidence.
“It’s pretty balanced," she said, via Sports Illustrated. "That’s what we like to see. It’s pretty crazy how efficient the middles are. It just makes everybody so confident, and gives Bergen a lot of confidence.
"They’re continuing to put up great numbers. Our middles, Rebekah and Andi, are so good. But when we put Manaia in, it’s like, ‘Oh, now we’re gonna make some plays.' She’s just so talented, and I definitely wanted to get her in front of all of her friends and family
This marked the Nebraska volleyball team's 26th victory of the season as it continues its pursuit of the NCAA championship.
Dani Busboom Kelly weighs in on the Nebraska volleyball team's passing statistics

Dani Busboom Kelly also spoke about how the Nebraska volleyball team's passing statistics could be skewed by multiple factors. However, despite strong statistics on both the offensive and defensive fronts, passing is an aspect of the team that has been questioned.
"I mean, we're putting up some pretty incredible numbers," she said. "So, I'm not too concerned about passing. I think we are playing some great jump servers. I think passing stats can be skewed in certain ways if we want to justify them. So, yeah, I'm not too worried about it. It is the only thing that people are nitpicking us about, and we're setting records offensively, and Bergen's playing great."
She said that, as long as the Nebraska volleyball team fulfilled team objectives and put forward strong performances, she was not worried about statistics.
