Veteran Nebraska Volleyball player Bergen Reilly recently opened up about the team's strategy ahead of the upcoming game against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Reilly is one of the three co-skippers of the Nebraska Cornhuskers alongside Rebekah Allick and Andi Jackson.
Bergen Reilly attended the pre-match press conference alongside teammate Teraya Sigler, who plays in the outside hitter position. Bergen Reilly was asked if she was concerned about any potential upsets.
Reilly mentioned that nobody wanted to lose, but the goals are crystal clear for the Nebraska Volleyball team. She mentioned in her statement to the press,
"Yeah, I mean we don't want to lose. We never want to lose. Um, I think at this point in the season, we want to win out and that's I mean not the main goal. Again, the main goal is winning at the end of December [the NCAA Championship finals], but um I think like last year for us, one of the best things that could have happened to us was the SMU game. And we've talked about that a little bit." [2:30 onwards]
The Nebraska Volleyball team will face the Iowa Hawkeyes tomorrow. They will further face the Indiana Hoosiers in their next match on November 22.

Bergen Reilly previously reflected on her growth as a player while representing the Nebraska Volleyball team. The 20-year-old setter remarked in a conversation with the Nebraska Huskers channel,
"Like freshman year, it was kind of like I was a good setter, but that was kind of the extent of it," she said. "But this year, it's just like that next step was just like becoming my own version. And that involves like running different plays and trying things out, taking big risks in big times. And I think that's been something that we've really focused on this year, is just playing free enough to be able to take those risks and trust that everyone around you is going to support those risks." (13:00 onwards)
Bergen Reilly had joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 2023 season. The 20-year-old setter was a part of the Nebraska Volleyball team that qualified for the finals of the 2023 NCAA Championships, as well as the semifinals of the 2024 NCAA Championships. Bergen Reilly has multiple titles to her credit, including two consecutive Big Ten Conference Championships as a part of the Nebraska Volleyball team.
