Badgers' coach Kelly Sheffield spoke about the team's performance in a post-match press conference and expressed that, according to him, the team did not display a strong attacking front.

“I thought we were very passive, and Mimi was carrying us. We weren’t able to get the ball to our middles, and I thought our young players learned a lesson about how to come here and use your voice and strong moves," he said.

Moreover, speaking about the Nebraska volleyball team's dominance, he lauded their coach, Dani Busboom Kelly, for preparing them to be calm during crucial moments of the match that helped them to play without feeling any pressure.

“It’s a really good team. It’s really balanced, and it’s deep, right? And they hold themselves with a swagger that they don’t panic when you get a few points against them. I think Dani’s done a great job of keeping them relaxed. They’ve been through the wars, and you’re going to have to sustain a really high level play for two hours to give yourself a chance," he added.

Furthermore, Sheffield said that the Badgers displayed some improvement in the third set; however, Nebraska's fierce momentum helped them breeze towards victory.

Moreover, she expressed that such a setup helps players to push themselves and go out of their comfort zone.

"I wouldn't say there is anything like super unique or new that we are doing, just making sure that our practices are structured to set up like some really good match-ups, and when we mix up teams, that allows us to do that. But putting our players in challenging situations in practice against other players has been pretty important," she said.

Furthermore, Busboom Kelly shared that they recently had one of their best practice sessions in a long time that boosted the team's morale and motivation.
