Nebraska Volleyball player Andi Jackson got real about the intense game against the UCLA Bruins. The Nebraska Volleyball team continued its unbeaten run as it defeated the UCLA Bruins.
However, despite their loss, the UCLA Bruins achieved something other teams didn't. The Bruins broke the clean sweep streak of the Nebraska Volleyball team by winning the third set of the game. This was the first time the Nebraska Cornhuskers conceded a set in any game since late September, when they managed to win against the Creighton Bluejays by 3-2.
Andi Jackson (who is one of the three co-skippers of the Nebraska Volleyball team) opened up about this aspect of the game as she joined the post-match interview with the Big Ten Network. In her words,
“We all agree that it was really good for our team. The pressure is off. You could definitely tell in the first, second and third sets, we were playing like there was so much pressure on us and just a weight on us. So now that’s gone, and we can play free once again.”
The Huskers will now compete against the USC Trojans in their next game on November 16. The game will be organized at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.

Andi Jackson opened up about overcoming the previous season's loss, and how Nebraska is eager to end the title drought. In her conversation with the media on November 5, Jackson remarked,
"There's a lot of outside noise, especially when you start getting towards the end of the tournament. You know, everyone's eyes are set on the end goal, but like I said in the beginning, taking it one day at a time and just really staying in the present, enjoying it for what it is."
The middle blocker further added,
"Taking it one day at a time, and if there's any pressure, it's from the outside. We're not putting any pressure on ourselves because we know where our value comes from and we know what we have to offer. So, we're going to work towards that every single day and go out there and just play like we know how to play." (7:46 onwards)
Andi Jackson was a part of the Nebraska Volleyball team, which had qualified for the semifinals of the 2024 NCAA Championships. The Nebraska Cornhuskers had lost the semifinals to the Penn State Nittany Lions by a whisker. The Penn State Nittany Lions went on to win the finals.
