Harper Murray opened up about the Nebraska volleyball team's goal in the 2025-26 volleyball season. The team has put forward strong performances so far to dominate the circuit with an unbeaten streak; moreover, the team is yet to lose a set since its match on September 16, 2025.

The Nebraska volleyball team had inched close to the NCAA championships title twice in the past two years. The Huskers lost to Texas in the finals of the 2023-24 season and fell short in the semi-finals of the 2024-25 season after a hard-fought match against Penn State. Since then, the team has been training with a new zeal and motivation to clinch the ultimate national title. Moreover, the team witnessed a coaching change with former Husker Dani Busboom Kelly taking over as the head coach from this season onwards.

Harper Murray spoke about the possibility of winning the National Championships this season and shared how competing for a competitive team like Nebraska comes with the expectations of emerging as national champions. Furthermore, she expressed how the team's massive fan base has been longing to win the ultimate.

"I mean, for all of us, it would mean the world because when you commit to Nebraska, that's kind of the expectation here, and that's kind of the tradition is to win the National championship," she said.

Harper Murray opened up about the Nebraska volleyball team's massive fan base in an on-court interview. The American player shared how the fans travel to away matches to support the team, and it plays a major role in helping them to be motivated to put their best foot forward.

Moreover, Murray expressed how the team's matches have witnessed record attendance that makes her feel as if they are competing at home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

"Husker fans travel well," Murray said. "We know that when we go to every arena, and (Nebraska coach) Dani (Busboom Kelly) says this all the time, but this feels like home games all of the time, and we are lucky that we have a fan base that travels and loves us so much. We have so much support from so many people all over the country," she added.

The Huskers are set to compete in two matches this weekend which included a match against UCLA on November 14 and against USC on November 16, 2025.
