Nebraska Volleyball's Harper Murray opened up about winning against Kansas State in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Huskers competed against No.6 Kansas State at the John Cook Arena on Saturday, December 6, 2025. They defeated the Wildcats with a 3-0 lead after posting a dominating scoreline of 25-17, 25-21, 25-16.
Murray scored 10 kills apiece. Although the Huskers won the match, they faced a tough fight against Kansas State, who were on their way to dominating the second set. In a post-match conference, Murray appreciated their performance and ability to change between short and deep serves. She explained that while it took some time for her and Tereya Sigler to understand their strategy and adjust to it. Murray also praised the opponent's style of earning points in the last two sets.
"I think they serve pretty tough on us," Murray said. "They were mixing up short and deep and I think eventually me and Terra figured it out but it took us a second to adjust to it and that was a lot in the third set. So, I think just finding ways to adjust with to what teams are doing because at some point they're going to have to switch it up on us. I think to beat us, you're going to have to find different ways to to score and to put points on the board. So, I think they found a good way to do that in the second and third set for sure." (0:54 onwards)
After concluding the regular season with a perfect score and winning regional matches, the Huskers will next compete against Kansas University in the NCAA Regional semifinal faceoff on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
