Riley Gaines reacts to Jammie Booker winning World’s Strongest Woman competition amid massive controversy

Riley Gaines recently shared her thoughts on Jammie Booker's victory at the World's Strongest Competition held in Texas. Booker's victory is under massive controversy due to questions around her gender identity.

According to multiple claims on social media, Jammie Booker was awarded the World's Strongest Woman title, despite several indications to the contrary. Riley Gaines responded to the controversy by taking a swipe at Booker's celebrations on the podium.

Gaines shared a SouthPark meme on her X account [formerly Twitter]. The swimmer-turned-social activist also wrote in the caption,

"The South Park meme has officially (and accurately) been recreated. Just brilliant."

Riley Gaines also shared a post from the username @libsoftiktok, which congratulated the female winner of this competition. The user wrote,

"Everyone please join me in congratulating Andrea Thompson, the RIGHTFUL winner of the World's Strongest Woman Championship!"

Riley Gaines previously called out Pablo Torre for his alleged double standards on women's sports. The swimmer-turned-social activist responded to the investigative journalist's claims on 'The Will Cain Show', after Torre accused her of campaigning against trans athletes for alleged monetary benefits.

Riley Gaines previously reflected on four trans athletes representing the Minnesota women's hockey team. The 25-year-old swimmer-turned-social activist shared her thoughts on her X account, where she wrote,

"4 men on one women's hockey team in Minnesota. This is what they call progress."

Riley Gaines had previously taken a jab at a trans player participating in a high school softball team in Minnesota around June 2025. This led to an online feud between Gaines and gymnastics sensation Simone Biles, who accused her of harassing people from the transgender community. Biles wrote in her X post,

"You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports. But instead… You bully them. One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around."

Simone Biles also suggested Riley Gaines to bully 'someone your own size'. However, this jibe didn't go down well with several social media users, including celebrities like news anchor Piers Morgan and tennis legend Martina Navratilova, who called out Biles for her alleged double standards.

Eventually, Simone Biles had to apologize for her previous post on Riley Gaines, adding that she should've chosen her words carefully. Riley Gaines responded to her claims by hoping that one day, she would understand her motives and stand by her side in protecting women's sports.
