They entered the regional final round with a streak of 33-0; however, their hopes of progressing to the nationals and maintaining their streak were dashed by Texas A&M.The latter stunned the audience by claiming a 3-2 (25-22, 25-22, 20-25, 35-37, 15-13) win. The Huskers faced a major heartbreak during the 2024 NCAA semi-finals after being defeated by Penn State.Ahead of their match in the 2025 season, Rebekah Allick sat for a press conference, where she opened up about how Penn State is a strong team. Along with this, she also made her feelings known about looking forward to competing against them, and talking about the fans' craze about the game, she said:"Good old rematch. I mean, Penn State is a great team. Obviously, there is a lot of lore there, and we're not the ones to shy away from fun conversations, and I think it's going to be a really good game and really good atmosphere, too. The fans would be into it. Also, there's like a theme at play. So, just a lot of hype around the match, and personally, I think that this team does really well off that.
