Dani Busboom Kelly expressed her thoughts about the Nebraska volleyball team's back-to-back victories this week. The former Husker expressed her elation at the team's performance and shared how it was one of the most competitive weekends for the team so far in the Big Ten.
The Nebraska volleyball team locked horns against Wisconsin on Friday, October 31, and registered a straight sweep victory with a score of 25-22, 25-19, 25-13 after a fierce battle in the first two sets. It was followed by their match against, where the Nebraska volleyball team clinched the victory in straight sets despite trailing behind in the early moments of the first and second sets. The final score of the match was 25-21, 25-20, 25-12.
Dani Busboom Kelly spoke about the Nebraska volleyball team's performance in a post-match press conference and lauded them for putting up a strong performance on both the offensive and defensive fronts. She expressed that it was a challenging week for the team, as both Wisconsin and Oregon put forward strong performances and were emerging as great teams in the season.
"You know, when you can go to Wisconsin and get a sweep that's really good and I think a hot Oregon team, I know they lost to Washington but I think they were playing really wel,l and I think it was one of the tougher weekends in the Big Ten is playing those two teams back to back," she said.
Busboom Kelly hopes that the team continues to keep up with their momentum as they advance in the 2025 season.

Dani Busboom Kelly opened up about the Nebraska volleyball team's motivation in a post-match interview. She shared that the team is very competitive during practices, and setting up different scenarios during the sessions helps them to be accustomed to every challenge on the court.
Moreover, Busboom Kelly shared that the players were hungry to win the NCAA championship title after falling short by very small margins in the last two years.
"During our practices, we have really competitive practices. You know, we are always mixing our teams up, making sure we are creating different match-ups that could be similar to the game. Again, I have said this so many times. The team has fallen short, the bulk of the team for two years now." she said.
Furthermore, she said that the team did not want to get complacent about their success, as they were only a few weeks into the season.
