Olivia Dunne gets honest about Paul Skenes after the Pirates’ ace wins major honor for second time

Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes started dating after meeting on the LSU campus and made their relationship public in 2023. Dunne expressed her feelings on dating Skenes after he won the National League Cy Young Award

.They have shown their admiration and respect for each other. Since her retirement from gymnastics, Dunne was frequently seen attending Pittsburgh Pirates' games, where Skenes serves as a pitcher. Recently, as the former gymnast embarked on a quick vacation to the Napali Coast in Kauai, Hawaii, she shared pictures of herself posing in a bright blue bikini. while sitting on a yacht against a serene backdrop of huge mountains and clear waters. Sharing the pictures, she wrote:

"A mermaid hard at work."

In the comments section, one of her fans asked her how life has been while dating the Cy Young winner.

"How life feels when dating a Cy Young winner," the fan questioned.

To which the former gymnast replied:

"Feels good tbh."

Skenes won the award unanimously to become the first National League pitcher to have earned the honor since Sandy Alcantara did in 2022. Skenes posted a 1.97 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 216 strikeouts in 187.2 innings to win the honor. He also led the league in ERA, WHIP, ERA+ (217), FIP (2.36), and home runs per nine innings (0.5). Skenes won the CY Young award in his second season. In his debut season in 2024, the pitcher earned the Rookie of the Year award.

Olivia Dunne opened up about her life after gymnastics, stating she would have freedom to explore the opportunities, which she couldn't maximize during her collegiate career due to high training.

"I'm going to be done with gymnastics, which is a crazy thing to say," Dunne told People. "So I'm going to have more freedom. I'm going to have way more freedom. I've been a competitive gymnast since I was three years old."

After her retirement, Olivia Dunne focused on building her personal brand. She has signed with a talent agency Wasserman, and its division, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, to grow her digital presence. She has continued her partnership with Vuori, Fanatics, Invisalign, and Sports Illustrated. She walked the runway for the SI Swimsuit this year alongside basketball star Angel Resse, and Olympic medalists Jordan Chiles and Ilona Maher.
