Coach Dani Busboom Kelly opened up about the Nebraska Volleyball players' passion for better practice. The Nebraska Women's volleyball team has listed an unbeaten run in the 2025 regular season.
They have dominated all 30 faceoffs this year to extend their undefeated regular season for the third time, after 1994 and 2000. The streak of 30 wins is the fourth-longest streak in the school's history. The Cornhuskers have achieved this feat because of their elite players, including Harper Murray, Bergen Reilly, Rebekah Allick, Andi Jackson, Maisie Boesiger, and others.
The players have shown determination and enthusiasm throughout the season, including their practice sessions. In an interview with Hail Varsity, the program coach, Busboom Kelly, reflected on her players' dedication, stating they observe the shortcomings and fix them without arguing. She further gave an instance when the team struggled during a practice session, but finished it strongly.
"It's good that they recognize it, you know, but again, we're not, you know, it's not a point where we're having to really get on each other. It's just like, hey, we got to recognize this is not good and not our standard and we got to change it. So, you know, talking about the lows. So, we had a low in practice, but we got out of it. We ended on a great note. (from 6:20 onwards)"
The Huskers will next compete against LIU on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the John Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
