Vonn has been working on her fitness for a long time, and was aiming to gain at least 12 pounds without compromising on the 'lean muscle mass.' The former Olympic champion shared images of her incredible transformation from early March to October this year on her Instagram account.

Lindsey Vonn explained how she achieved this unbelievable transformation as she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post,

"🚨 GOAL ATTAINED!! 🚨 My goal for this summer was to get stronger; more lean muscle mass, become more agile and gain 12lbs. Never thought I would be trying to gain so much weight in my life and it was actually not easy to do! But, just a few weeks before the season starts, I have officially met my goal! All the long hours in the gym have paid off and I feel stronger than ever. Cannot wait to start the season!! My evolution- March-June- August- October ✅"

The user wrote,

"You are absolutely disgusting. No role model. Glad you are hurt, and I hope you miss the Olympics, you disgusting "American." Go ski into a tree."

However, the alpine skier coolly responded by replying,

"One of the downsides of social media. Thank you for hoping I die Brad..."

Lindsey Vonn previously penned a heartfelt note on her Instagram account after being featured on the cover of Time magazine, where she revealed why she could never give up. Vonn wrote,

"I never could have imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that my life would lead me here. I’m just a girl from Minnesota who wanted to ski fast. But this cover means I’ve done a lot more in my life than just ski fast. People might not know what I’ve done on the mountain, but they know that no matter how many times I fall, I will always pick myself back up, and I hope it inspires others to do the same!"

Lindsey Vonn has three Winter Olympic medals and eight World Championship medals to her credit. The 41-year-old alpine skier has earned two podium finishes ever since she made a comeback after the knee replacement surgery.
