Lindsey Vonn reacted to a young fan's support while aiming for the upcoming Olympics. Vonn has again lifted her gear to make an appearance in her fifth Olympic Games after having previously competed in the 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2018 editions.
She initially announced her retirement in 2019 after suffering from recurring injuries. However, the American skier returned to the slope six years after announcing her retirement. In November 2024, Vonn decided to make her comeback at 40, leaving fans stunned. Her decision was affected by a successful partial knee surgery in April 2024. Throughout her return, the multiple-time Olympic medalist has faced huge backlash and criticism.
However, there have been moments when her fans, irrespective of their age, have shown their love and unwavering support for her. Recently, a young girl was seen expressing her admiration for Vonn. She was seen holding a US edition of Red Bulletin magazine that featured Vonn on the cover. The young girl posed for the pictures at Copper Mountain in Colorado. The magazine cover featured a strong quote from Vonn, stating:
"I've already won."
Vonn shared the picture of the young fan on her Instagram story and added a heart and melting face emoji after being overwhelmed by the support.

Vonn sustained a major knee injury in November 2018, which forced her to hang up her gear. However, before announcing her retirement for the first time, Vonn won a bronze medal in downhill in Are, Sweden.
