Head coach of Nebraska Volleyball team, Dani Busboom Kelly, recently shared her thoughts about Taylor Landfair's incredible performance against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Landfair [who previously represented the Minnesota Golden Gophers] put up 11 kills without conceding a single error.
In the post-match interview, the head coach of the Nebraska Volleyball team commented on how the opponents completely overlooked the potential of Landfair. According to coach Kelly, the Minnesota team seemed to be more focused on the attacks from Rebekah Allick, Andi Jackson, and Harper Murray.
Dani Busboom Kelly explained her point as she remarked on Taylor Landfair's performance,
“She’s the last person right now that teams focus on. When she’s playing that well, it just feels like we can do anything offensively.”
Interestingly, Kelly wasn't the only one impressed with Landfair's performance. Keegan Cook, who currently manages the Minnesota Golden Gophers team, talked about her incredible performance after the game, as he commented,
“If you haven’t seen Taylor hitting the sharp angle, which a lot of our young guys haven’t seen before, it could be tough. I wasn’t thrilled that we couldn’t make those adjustments, but it’s a tall task to ask if you’ve never seen it before.”
The Nebraska Volleyball team has extended its winning streak to 24-0 with back-to-back wins against the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Dani Busboom Kelly previously opened up about the need to maintain the morale of the Nebraska Volleyball team after the hard-fought victories. In a press conference before the match against the Illinois Fighting Illini, the head coach remarked,
"It is really tough to win, no matter what level, what sport, and we never want to lose sight of that, and that's something that I have always been a firm believer in. I also am a firm believer that we spend a lot of our time together and a lot of our time with our sport, and if we can't enjoy and celebrate the little things and then we are going to drive ourselves crazy." (3:40 onwards)
The head coach further talked about how the team needs to be enthusiastic about the upcoming season as she added,
"When December comes in, you're relieved that the season's over, and I don't want our players to walk out of here feeling that they are relieved, I want them to feel like they can't wait to be back."
Dani Busboom Kelly had joined the Nebraska Volleyball team as the head coach last year. She had replaced John Cook, who had announced his retirement after the 2024 NCAA Championships.
