Riley Gaines recently slammed a publication for issuing an article with complicated headlines in the Jamie Booker controversy. Booker was stripped of the World Championship title after it was discovered that the athlete is a biological male who identifies as female. At the Strongman Games World Championship in Arlington, Texas, held last weekend, Booker earned the World's Strongest Woman title. However, on Tuesday, the organizers stated that they had been notified about the athlete's biological gender. Booker was born male and identifies as female, competing in the latter category, which violates the organization's rules. Amid the controversy, the TMZ news publication, which Fox Corporation owns, reported on the incident while repeatedly addressing the 28-year-old as 'her' and 'she.' One of the headlines read:"A competitive bodybuilder has been stripped of her world championship title after it was discovered she was born a male."Gaines, who has been a fervent opposer of transgender athletes competing in women's sports, blamed the publication for confusing readers with complex headlines. "Stop. Calling. Men. "Her," Gaines wrote. "You intentionally cause confusion with nonsensical headlines like this. People want clear, sex-based language."After revoking Booker's name as the title winner, Great Britain's Andrea Thompson was named as the winner of the event. (Photo by Getty Images)Riley Gaines recently reacted to claims calling her out for making money from her advocacy role. Podcaster Pablo Torres claimed that the former collegiate swimmer is motivated by money rather than her beliefs while advocating for fairness in women's sports. The claims did not sit well with Gaines, who mocked him for spending six months on the investigation. While taking a shot at him, Gaines mentioned that she is too busy with her newborn to care about his remarks and that even if she wasn't, she wouldn't have cared less. "I love when there’s a baseless hit piece about me, but I’m so consumed in our perfect baby that I didn’t even notice (and even if I had, I couldn’t care less). 6 month "investigation" for that? To find out I have a job that pays me? Ground-breaking discovery, truly. When you know you’re on the right side of history, the smears don’t matter. Try harder, @PabloTorre."Gaines even called his investigation 'baseless.'
