Nebraska Volleyball's Maisie Boesiger expressed her feelings about playing her final match for the program and said she enjoyed every second of the day on November 29, 2025. The Huskers broke multiple records in the final leg of the regular season before the Nationals.
Maisie Boesiger has been playing with the Cornhuskers since 2022 and contributed to several wins over the years, especially in 2025, as Nebraska maintained an undefeated streak of 30-0. In the final match of the regular season against Ohio State, the defensive specialist and serving substitute started as libero for the first time, recording a career-high 13 digs and five assists, helping the Huskers clock a dominant win over Ohio, and extend the win streak to 30.
Boesiger was also honored with the libero jersey for the first time in her career, receiving a celebratory send-off in the presence of her family, teammates, and a packed Bob Devaney Center.
Nebraska Volleyball's Maisie Boesiger said in a press conference after Senior Night that the program means a great deal to her and that she wanted to take in every minute of her final regular-season game.
"I was so excited and just so grateful. I have loved Nebraska volleyball my whole life and once again, it was just like a dream come true and I just wanted to take in every single minute. It kind of felt like the stadium match where I woke up and I was like, "Okay, I'm going to enjoy every second today." And that's kind of how I went into this day feeling."
The Huskers will open the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday, December 5, against Long Island University, the Northeast Conference champions.

She also revealed how she and her fiancé, Nolan Schwarting, whom she got engaged to in a dreamy Hawaiian ceremony in May 2025, have been spending time together.
"I'm working for LOVB. I'm doing social media for Omaha and then I'm gonna work with Sheep Sports, the new app that started, and I'm gonna be kind of marketing and social media for them and Nolan and I just closed on a house," she said in a pre-match conference (7:36 onwards)
The Nebraska squad narrowly missed advancing to the NCAA finals last year after falling to Penn State in the semifinals.
