Gabby Thomas fiance Spencer McManes heartfelt message on athlete's birthday, leaving Olympic Champion gushing

Spencer McManes wrote a sweet message for his fiancée Gabby Thomas as she celebrated her 29th birthday on December 7, 2025. Thomas competed in her last race of the 2025 season at the USATF Outdoor Championships, where she secured a bronze medal in the 200m event.

Thomas began her athletics journey after playing soccer and softball. She attended Williston Northampton High School before joining the University of Texas. During her junior season, the American sprinter won the 200m race at the NCAA Indoor Championship. As she joined Harvard University, Thomas registered school, and Ivy League records in the 100m, 200m, and indoor 60m races.

As she celebrated her 29th birthday with her beau, the latter shared pictures of her, writing:

"Happy birthday to my Queen ❤️"

Thomas, who was clearly left gushing at the sweet note, expressed her love and suggested a golf session.

"Time for some golf, haha," she wrote.

Gabby Thomas and Spencer McManes began dating in 2022, when the sprinter attended Harvard and Spencer played football at Yale. McManes proposed the Olympic medalist during a staycation in Austin, Texas, in March 2025. He popped the question to her on the rooftop of a Travis Heights Airbnb. When Thomas won her first individual gold medal at the Olympics, she ran to her fiancé and captured the moment with a selfie.

Gabby Thomas once opened up on how she manifested her Olympic victory, stating that she used her power of self-talk and affirmations to build confidence. In an interview with CBS Mornings, Thomas reflected on her consistent process of writing down her goals and visualizing her whole race.

"I am building my self-talk. I'm building my confidence in that moment. I am telling myself that I am already the Olympic champion," said Thomas. "I wrote down over and over every morning, while I was in Paris, that I will be the Olympic champion in my notes app, over and over and I envisioned the race all day, every day, imagining myself winning and crossing the line in front," she said [at 1:00].

Along with her first individual gold medal at the Paris Games, she also bagged gold medals in the 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay races.
