From posing in all black-outfit to houndstooth co-ord set, Alica Schmidt shares highlights of her birthday celebrations in Austria

Alica Schmidt recently gave her fans a sneak peek into her birthday celebration, which featured the sprinter in a houndstooth co-ord set and an all-black outfit. Schmidt was born in Worms in 1998 and raised in the German town of Pulheim.

Schmidt competed for a local football club in the city of Cologne before she began competing on the track at seven. In the following years, she served as a fitness coach for the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Later, she made her mark as a notable sprinter in the world of athletics. As the German athlete turned 27 on November 8, 2025, Schmidt celebrated her birthday with her friends in Vienna, Austria, where she was seen wearing a black crop top with a skirt. She paired the outfit with a blazer.

While exploring the city, the sprinter wore a cream houndstooth co-ord set, paired with a long jacket and white boots. While sharing the pictures of her celebration, Schmidt did not neglect her training session.

"27✨ a weekend for the books 🤍🥺," Schmidt captioned the caousel of pictures.

Ѕchmidt currently has 5.5 million followers on Instagram. In 2017, she was named the sexiest athlete in the world by the Australian magazine Busted Coverage.

Alica Schmidt once opened up about being recognized in public. In an interview with the OMR Podcast last year, Schmidt reflected on the moments when fans recognize her in public and whisper about her or come up to talk to her. She added that she prefers interacting with the fans when they approach her directly. Schmidt also highlighted an incident at the World Championships, when she met a fan with who she had been in contact for years online.

"I definitely get recognized, and you notice it when you're secretly whispered about or, as I said, someone comes up to me. I always find it nicer when people approach me. I'm really happy when you meet someone from the community and you see who's actually behind it. For example, at the World Championships, who I have been in contact with for many years. She writes to me regularly, so it was just really cool to see the person behind it." [46:36 onwards]
