The Edmonton Oilers will be taking on Pacific Division rivals, Seatlle Kraken, on Saturday at the Climate Pledge Arena, puck drop scheduled for 4 p.m. ET ( 2 p.m. MT. Edmonton are 10-10-5, and have lost four of their last five games, with the most recent defeat being a 8-3 beatdown by the Dallas Stars.
The Seatlle Kraken are sitting in a playoff spot, being 3rd in the Pacific Division with a 11-6-6 record. Seattle took down the star-studded Oilers 3-2, during their first meeting of the 2025-26 season on Oct. 25. 2025.

The Oilers will miss Jack Roslovic for a couple weeks, after the forward sustained an injury in the 8-3 loss game vs. the Stars. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is expected to return to the lineup after missing games since Nov. 8.
Forward Kasperi Kapanen suffered a setback in his return from injury and will be out for an extended period of time. He was evidently livid after team practice on Thursday, and angrily knocked down a stack of hockey sticks on his way out of the ice.

"It's unfortunate losing those guys. We were very optimistic getting guys back - Lazar, Nugent-Hopkins and Kapanen, those three coming back was great news - and we knew Walman was getting close. But of those guys, Lazar and Nugent-Hopkins are the only two, and then you lose a couple more, but it is what it is. Every team goes through injuries," said Oilers heach coach Kris Knoblauch in his update about Edmonton's roster vs. Kraken.

Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz is expected to miss six weeks with a lower-body injury. Winger Kaapo Kakko practiced on Friday, in a red no-contact jersey, and could potentially make his return on Saturday night vs. Edmonton.
"I think he's progressing nicely, he's getting closer - which is nice to see," said Kraken head coach Lane Lambert about Kaapo Kakko's status.
