The Edmonton Oilers have only won two of their last five games, after being shutout by Wild's Jesper Wallstedt who made 33 saves on Tuesday night. They are 6th in the Pacific Division, with a 11-11-5 record.
The Oilers will be taking on the Seatlle Kraken at the Rogers Place on Thursday night, after handing them a 4-0 defeat six days earlier at the Climate Pledge Arena. Tonight will be the third meeting between the two teams this season, and the series is currently tied at 1-1.
Historically, the Kraken have a 1-5-1 record in Edmonton's Rogers Place, with their last win on Oilers' home ice coming some three years ago. Edmonton are 5-3-2 at home this season, and will be looking to defend their fortress tonight as they take on the visiting Seattle Kraken.
Edmonton Oilers projected lineup vs. the Kraken (Subject to change)
The Oilers are expected to role the same 12-forward group that played in the 1-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild, but head coach Kris Knoblauch moved forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to the top line during Wednesday's practice, instead of his usual 3C spot.
"Leon can move from left wing with Connor to center (on the second line). Whether it's two centres or three, it's nice having those three guys play down the middle.... I think right now with the missing some winger depth, it's just a little more tempting to move Nuge to play in that sitiuation," said Knoblauch.

The Kraken will be without Mason Marchment for the rematch tonight vs. Edmonton, due an undisclosed injury. In their last meeting, the Oilers put a target on Marchment's back after his hit knocked the helmet off of Darnell Nurse. Marchment refused to drop the gloves with the challengers from Edmonton, and Leon Draisaitl delivered elbows onto the Kraken forward near the end of the game.
