Leon Draisaitl scored two goals for the Oilers, including one late in the third to tie the game, but Vancouver stayed composed and closed it out in overtime. After the game, Sherwood spoke about the team’s mindset.

"We just stick together through all the ups and downs,” Sherwood said, via NHL.com “The coaches say keep your emotions in check, it’s a long 60 minutes. There are going to be ups and downs and power plays and PKs and stuff. We just have to rely on the strength of the team and get our work boots on.”

The Canucks will next face the New York Rangers at Rogers Arena on Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET.
