The Vancouver Canucks are on the road to play the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, October 30 at 8 p.m. ET. Vancouver (5-6) is coming off a 2-0 home shutout loss to the Rangers on Tuesday.
Ahead of their road game on Thursday, here's what the Canucks projected lines look like.
Canucks projected lines
Forwards
- Jake DeBrusk - Elias Pettersson - Conor Garland
- Evander Kane - Lukas Reichel - Brock Boeser
- Drew O'Connor - Aatu Raty- Kiefer Sherwood
- Arshdeep Bains - Max Sasson - Linus Karlsson
Vancouver has a new second-line center in Lukas Reichel, whom the Canucks traded for from the Chicago Blackhawks.
“We definitely believe that he has the ability to [play center] here and we’ll definitely give it a try here," Canucks GM Patrik Allvin said of Reichel.
"It’s our job as an organization and with our coaches and the development staff that we have, it’s our job to help him take his job to the next level. What intrigues us is the speed coming through the neutral zone and his skill level there. Those are the things that make us excited about him, and he’s still young, so I believe there is more to come.”
The Canucks offense is led by Conor Garland, who has 11 points, while Elias Pettersson has eight points.
Defense
- Marcus Pettersson - Filip Hronek
- Elias Nils Pettersson - Tyler Myers
- Pierre-Oliver Joseph - Tom Willander
The Canucks will likely still be without Quinn Hughes, which is a big blow, while top prospect Tom Willander has been recalled and made his NHL debut in the Canucks last game.
"He's a smart player. He's got good skill, he's got good feet. Just keep guys in front of you and extend your coverage and make hard plays," Canucks coach Adam Foote said about Willander.
Goalies
- Thatcher Demko
- Kevin Lankinen
Vancouver is expected to start Demko, who's healthy and looks to have turned back the clock.
Demko is 4-3 with a 2.18 GAA and a .926 SV% this season. He's 3-2-3 with a 2.73 GAA and a .910 SV%.
