On Thursday, she shared an Instagram story about the group’s latest major intake from “high kill shelters.” In the photo she posted, Véronique stood with a group of rescue workers, each holding young puppies brought in during a one-day operation that reportedly saved more than 55 animals.

She also urged followers to donate while contributions are being triple matched during the current campaign.

“Had the best time helping out at @thebond_between. Rachel and her amazing team saved over 55 animals from high kill shelters just today. Donations are triple matched right now if you can help, and puppies like these are available for foster/adoption ❤️”

The Bond Between, which began in 2009 under the name Secondhand Hounds, has grown into one of Minnesota’s most active rescue organizations known for pulling animals from overcrowded or at-risk shelters. They provide medical care, help placing them with fosters and supporting families through programs like a pet food shelf and community wellness clinics.

Véronique and Marc-Andre Fleury have been together since their teens, married in 2012 and are raising three children. Alongside her philanthropic work, she has co-founded a children’s clothing brand and taken part in charitable initiatives tied to children’s welfare.

Veronique later shared a carousel of photos from the evening on Instagram featuring elegant dinner settings with crystal glassware, ornate plates, tall candles and a backdrop of projected hockey highlights honoring Fleury. Staff were seen holding a sign reading “Congrats Flower” and she also shared several black-and-white photo booth shots.

“Had the most amazing weekend celebrating with our people. So grateful for all of you, who traveled from near and far to celebrate Marc’s career,” she captioned the post.

The outdoor portion of the gathering even featured friends in swimwear posing on the lawn with the congratulatory sign.

Over his 21-year NHL career, Fleury played 1,051 regular-season games recording 575 wins, the second-most in league history. He won three Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, 2016 and 2017, and also played for the Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild.
