Marchand joined the Panthers at the 2025 trade deadline following his long tenure in Boston and cemented his future in South Florida with a six-year contract extension on July 1. Petry signed with the Panthers the same day on a one-year deal marking the start of their first season playing together.

Brad Marchand's wife gushes over his 1000-point NHL career milestone

Earlier this month, Brad Marchand reached his 1,000-point milestone in a game against the Washington Capitals recording the second of his two assists on an empty-net goal late in the third period. The assist made Marchand the 102nd player in NHL history to reach 1,000 career points.

Marchand’s wife Katrina marked the moment with multiple posts from the night. Her first story featured a reshared clip of Marchand entering the locker room, where teammates showered him with champagne and ice as he stepped in still in full gear.

“We are so proud of you @bmarch63 ❤️,” she wrote in the caption of one of the stories.

She followed with a Panthers graphic commemorating the milestone and later posted an on-ice team photo from the postgame celebration.

In a separate Instagram post, she shared a full locker-room shot of Marchand surrounded by teammates and staff.

“1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ looks good on you @bmarch63 😍,” read the caption.

Speaking after the game, Marchand noted that reaching the milestone in front of his family made the night especially meaningful and said he had hoped to hit the mark at home.

“I hoped it would be tonight, I had the family here,” said Marchand. “It was nice to do it at home, too. It doesn’t matter how it gets done, it was just fun to be a part of it.”

Marchand had been traded to Florida in March after spending his entire career in Boston. He went on to play a major role in the Panthers’ 2025 Stanley Cup run posting 10 goals and 10 assists in 23 playoff games as a key contributor in the Final.
