The Islanders just completed a remarkable seven-game road trip with a 6-1-0 record, earning 12 of a possible 14 points against five opponents who were in playoff position at the time.

Notably, the New York Islanders are the only team, along with the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche, to have accumulated the most points in the NHL since November 8.

Following the Islanders' 5-0 shutout win over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday, which made it six wins on their road trip, Kash Patel took to X (formerly called Twitter) and posted:

He said that he was impressed with the presence shown by his team during the road trip (via NHL.com):

“We know if we play the way we are playing we can win a lot of games. The thing I loved about this road trip is our presence. We always stayed aware of the next step instead of looking at the score and being satisfied.”
