The Maple Leafs entered the third period trailing 3-2 but collapsed early in the frame, allowing three goals, including two from Vasily Podkolzin, to fall behind 6-2 before a late consolation goal made the final score 6-3.

Rosehill appeared on the Leafs Nation podcast and didn’t hold back in criticizing the team’s lack of urgency and poor execution down the stretch against the Oilers.

"In the third period, you're within one, and you had the lead. It's a total game that's up for grabs, and it was a clown show in your own end. They just cycled and cycled and shot and chanced and regained possession, and there's a whistle, chance, penetrate," Rosehill said.

He added:

"Bunch of flat footed leafs spinning around, looking around, turning their back to the puck, not sure what the f**k they're doing, it was embarrassing, and they got f*****g embarrassed, and the crowd's booing. A friend of mine was at the game. He's like, Holy f**k, they must not like traffic, because there's like, you know, 16 minutes left in this hockey game, and the crowd is filing out. Like, what is that? Man?"
