Connor McDavid, Stuart Skinner, Mattias Ekholm and partners of other Oilers link up at ladies Halloween party 2025

Partners of several Edmonton Oilers players came together for the annual Halloween celebration this week. On Sunday, captain Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle posted a group photo from the event on her Instagram stories sharing a look into the team’s annual “ladies’ Halloween” tradition.

The photo showed a lineup of Oilers’ partners in full costume at what appeared to be a cozy restaurant setting. Lauren attended dressed as Kim Power, while other ladies showed off equally creative looks.

Ida Ekholm, wife of defenseman Mattias Ekholm, wore a yellow jumpsuit inspired by Kill Bill’s Beatrix Kiddo. Mikayla Nurse, who is expecting her third child with Darnell Nurse, went all-in as Thor complete with a robe hammer and fake beard.

Oilers defenseman Troy Stecher’s wife Emma also posted a look of her Halloween getup on her own stories. She appeared as Glinda the Good Witch in a pink dress and sparkling tiara. Stuart Skinner’s wife Chloe also joined the fun and reshared photos from the evening on her stories.

Lauren had previously shared a couple of stories alongside Leon Draisaitl’s wife Celeste Desjardins where the two ladies showed off their Halloween getup in a mirror selfie. Celeste was dressed as Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction.

Connor McDavid’s wife hosted Thanksgiving dinner

Earlier this month during the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle hosted a team get together at the couple’s Edmonton home.

Lauren later shared a series of photos and reposted Instagram stories featuring the cozy autumn atmosphere and curated tablescape she designed for the occasion. The long dining table was draped in cream linens and woven placemats, white pumpkins and amber-toned floral arrangements.

One clip originally shared by Sasha Podkolzin, wife of Oilers forward Vasily Podkolzin, showed the full table setting from end to end.

Lauren’s later stories revealed the full gathering with players and their families seated around the table.

“Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🧡” she wrote in one of her own stories.

Other guests, including Kasperi Kapanen’s wife Matleena Laakso and Celeste Desjardins, wife of Leon Draisaitl, also posted stories from the evening. Matleena captioned her post “Happy Thanksgiving”, while Celeste shared her own moments from the team dinner.
