Alex Ovechkin shared his thoughts about Jordan Binnington sneakily attempting to pocket his 900th career goal puck during the Capitals’ 6-1 win over the Blues on Wednesday.Ovechkin made history by becoming the first player in NHL history to score 900 goals. He scored a backhand goal at 2:39 of the second period to put the Capitals ahead 2-0. After the puck went in, Binnington scooped it up himself and tucked it into his pants’ waistband before skating away.After the game, Ovechkin said he would rather not comment on Binnington's actions:"Yeah. Yeah. I just saw that. I'm not going to comment on it."Ovechkin has accumulated eight points through three goals and five assists this season. We have an unbelievable locker room, and they support me, and I'm always going to be thankful for that support."Alex Ovechkin became the NHL’s all-time leading goal scorer last season after breaking Wayne Gretzky’s record of 894 goals. His 895th career goal came during a game against the New York Islanders on April 6.Meanwhile, the Washington Capitals improved their record to 7-5-1 and are currently fourth in the Metro Division.
