Connor McDavid, and the Edmonton Oilers are coming off a 9-1 thrashing at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche. It was the franchise's worst loss in 16 years, the previous one being a 10-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres in 2009.
Edmonton will be looking to shake off Saturday night's gutting loss vs. the Blue Jackets who are on a three-game losing streak, and have a 4-4-0 away record this season.
Connor McDavid was not made available post-game after the Oilers' 9-1 shellacking by Avs on Saturday, but gave his thoughts on the game the following morning after practice.
"The reaction is just to learn from it and not move on. It was a humbling night last night for everybody in this organization and for the players. It was humbling. So, great opportunity for us to dust ourselves off and get back at it tomorrow," said McDavid.
