After a 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes, the Boston Bruins play the first of four away games against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. The Ducks have been the biggest surprise of the 2025-26 season, sitting atop the Pacific Division with 25 points, ahead of the Golden Knights, Kings and Oilers.
The Bruins will be without Charlie McAvoy, who took a slapshot to the face while playing against the Canadiens. The 27-year-old defenseman may need surgery, and currently does not have a timeline for his return.
“He will definitely not travel, let’s put it that way. He is still going to be out. You will get an update later on today or tomorrow about his health condition," Bruins coach Marco Sturm said.
