Connor Bedard opened the scoring less than a minute into the game, with Teuvo Teravainen, Tyler Bertuzzi, Andre Burakovsky, and Oliver Moore scoring the other goals for Chicago. Meanwhile, Dylan Larkin replied with his ninth goal of the season for the Detroit Red Wings. So, let’s take a closer look at the three least impressive Detroit Red Wings players from their loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday afternoon.3 least impressive Detroit Red Wings players from loss to Chicago Blackhawks#3 John GibsonThe Detroit Red Wings veteran netminder had an iffy game against the Blackhawks. He faced just 19 shots but surrendered four goals. While he can’t be entirely blamed for all three goals, he didn’t make the timely saves his club needed shorthanded to bail out his teammates. In particular, Bertuzzi’s goal was a soft one that John Gibson would like to have back. Here’s a look at the goal as shown on the Blackhawks’ X account:In Gibson’s defense, no one picked up Bertuzzi at the side of the net. However, Gibson should have been able to at least poke the puck. But instead, he allowed Bertuzzi to tuck the puck in between his pads for the goal.#2 Andrew CoppThe Detroit Red Wings forward got burned multiple times against the Blackhawks. He was dreadful during the penalty kill. He was on the ice for two of the three Blackhawks' power play goals.5-on-5, Andrew Copp didn’t fare much better. All told, the Red Wings’ veteran ended the game with 14 minutes of ice time across 20 shifts. He did not get a shot on goal and ended a minus-1.#1 Marco KasperThe Red Wings' second-year forward was a ghost on Sunday afternoon. He hit the ice for 14:46 but could not manage any sort of offense. He was a minus-1, with just one shot on goal.Kasper has now gone scoreless in his last five games. He last found the back of the net when he scored twice against the LA Kings. Unfortunately, that’s been the extent of his offense this season. His three goals in 16 games have been utterly concerning for the club as they have now hit the skids following a strong first month. The Red Wings will have a few days to regroup before taking on the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night at home.
