The Chicago Blackhawks dropped a frustrating 4-3 loss to the Nashville Predators on Black Friday at the United Center. The Predators scored three goals in the second period to open up a 3-2 lead. The Preds made it 4-2 early in the third, but the Blackhawks responded to pull to within one. However, the Hawks could not close out the comeback.Ryan Donato, Ryan Greene (PPG), and Teuvo Teravainen scored for the Chicago Blackhawks. Meanwhile, Matthew Wood, Steven Stamkos, Luke Evangelista, and Ryan O’Reilly got the tallies for the Predators. So, here’s a look at the three least impressive Chicago Blackhawks players from their Black Friday loss to the Nashville Predators.3 least impressive Chicago Blackhawks players from loss to Nashville Predators#3 Alex VlasicThe Chicago Blackhawks’ top defender did not have his most impressive game of the season. He hit the ice for just a little over 21 minutes in a game in which Chicago lined up seven defensemen. However, Vlasic did not lead the way defensively or offensively. His role in Luke Evangelista’s goal left much to be desired. Here’s a look at the goal, as shown on the Predators’ official X account:Vlasic tussled with Evangelista until the Predators’ forward got enough separation. Evangelista then fired the puck with Vlasic screening his own goalie. The puck got through and gave Nashville a 3-2 lead after the Blackhawks had just tied the game.#2 Wyatt KaiserWyatt Kaiser hit the ice for nearly 16 minutes on the night across 18 shifts. Unfortunately, his role in the first two Predators’ goals put his team behind the eight-ball.Here’s a look at Stamkos’ goal:The sequence started with a turnover in the neutral zone. Stamkos and Nick Blankenburg traded the puck, with Stamkos cutting right up the middle. Meanwhile, Kaiser was late to react, giving Stamkos all the time and space he needed to get the puck past Arvid Soderblom for the goal.#1 Arvid SoderblomSpeaking of Soderblom, the Chicago Blackhawks netminder wasn’t as sharp as the team would have liked. While he stopped 25 of 29 shots, it was the four shots he didn’t stop that made the difference on the night. In particular, Ryan O’Reilly’s goal was one Soderblom would love to get back. Check it out:Yes, the Blackhawks’ defense did not do a good job of playing the puck. But when Soderblom could have bailed his team out with a huge save, he didn’t. Instead, the game was 4-2 at the time, with O’Reilly’s goal proving to be the game-winner.The Blackhawks will look to get back in the win column on Sunday afternoon as they host the Anaheim Ducks at the United Center.
