The Toronto Maple Leafs got a much-needed win on Saturday night, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 at the Wells Fargo Center. The win was overshadowed by the crushing loss of defenseman Chris Tanev. The 35-year-old had to be carried off the ice on a stretcher following a collision with Matvei Michkov.On the ice, Auston Matthews, Jake McCabe, Nick Robertson, and Easton Cowan got the goals for Toronto. Cowan got his first NHL goal. The tally chased Philadelphia starter Dan Vladar from the game. Calle Jarnkrok notched an empty-netter to seal the win late in the third.Christian Dvorak opened the scoring for the Flyers, roughly a minute into the game.
