In an article published on Monday, November 17, 2025, Billboard released a list featuring “absolute best” Taylor Swift songs to “use for the first dance” at a wedding in honor of the artist herself getting engaged to her beau, Travis Kelce. Notably, the songs were some of the top choices from the staff of Billboard.

While the list contained many of the fan favorites, including Lover, Daylight, Paper Rings, and Our Song, netizens were quick to share their reactions. Sharing their thoughts under the X post by The Taylor Swift Updates, a fan questioned Billboard’s choice of not including the track Speak Now from Swift’s third studio album of the same name.

For the uninitiated, Taylor and Travis shared the news of their engagement in August via a joint Instagram post. The Kansas City Chiefs' tight end admitted on his podcast that he tried to slip her his number on a friendship bracelet two years ago at Swift’s Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium.

The pair went public in October 2023 while appearing hand in hand at the Saturday Night Live afterparty.
