Music executive Wack 100 has suggested that recent lawsuits involving Drake are part of a coordinated attempt to undermine the rapper’s standing in the industry. Speaking during a livestream clip circulated on social media, Wack said,

"They're setting him up. I guarantee you. They don't wanna send him to jail. Not yet. That's later."

His remarks, reported by HotNewHipHop on November 3, 2025, came after a series of legal challenges tied to Drake, including a dismissed defamation case against Universal Music Group (UMG) and ongoing class action lawsuits over alleged fake streams and illegal gambling promotion.

Wack also said that these developments, particularly the lawsuit accusing Spotify of “turning a blind eye” to mass fraudulent streaming, mark the beginning of a wider campaign against Drake, saying

"I want y’all to really think about, in the last week, what has happened. Since UMG has won that and they had to drop that sh*t, Drake’s being sued for falsely promoting Stake. It’s coming... The women coming next bro."

More about the lawsuit against Spotify for alleged “billions” of fake Drake streams

According to HotNewHipHop on November 3, 2025, Spotify is facing a federal class action lawsuit alleging that the platform allowed “mass-scale fraudulent streaming” and that Drake profited from “billions” of fake plays.

The case, filed by California rapper RBX, reportedly a cousin of Snoop Dogg, accuses Spotify of knowingly enabling illegitimate streams that distort the platform’s royalty system and disadvantage smaller artists.

The lawsuit, filed at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, claims Spotify’s “streamshare” royalty model is particularly vulnerable to manipulation. This system pools all streams together and distributes revenue based on total percentages, meaning that inflated numbers from fake accounts can reduce payouts for other rights holders. Plaintiffs argue this has “caused massive financial harm to legitimate artists, songwriters, producers, and other rightsholders.”

Spotify has denied wrongdoing. In a statement quoted by HotNewHipHop on November 3, 2025, a company spokesperson said,

"Spotify in no way benefits from the industry-wide challenge of artificial streaming. We heavily invest in always-improving, best-in-class systems to combat it and safeguard artist payouts."

Although Drake is named in the filing, he is not listed as a defendant. The lawsuit reportedly seeks a jury trial and compensatory as well as punitive damages, alleging rights holders have been defrauded out of “hundreds of millions of dollars.”

Charlamagne Tha God also thinks there will be a federal probe into streaming practices

Talking about the lawsuit on The Breakfast Club on November 3, 2025, Charlamagne Tha God predicted that the Spotify bot lawsuit could lead to a wider federal investigation. He described the situation as “the next federal freak-off,” suggesting that authorities might uncover systemic manipulation of streaming data across the industry.

Charlamagne’s remarks followed a discussion with host Loren LoRosa, who cited internal data pointing to large clusters of fake streams originating from Turkey, including about 250,000 fraudulent plays on Drake’s song No Face.

The hosts drew connections to a prior antitrust probe by Turkey’s competition authority earlier in July 2025, which allegedly investigated whether Spotify had violated national law by “complicating the operations of its rivals” and affecting royalty distributions.

The ongoing scrutiny has intensified questions about the reliability of streaming metrics and how they shape public perceptions of artist success. Charlamagne also speculated that some artists might be “paying these bot farms to boost their numbers,” a claim that has circulated within music circles for years but remains unverified.
