On Sunday, November 9, 2025, The Sun reported that The Fate of Ophelia singer has already started inviting her A-list friends to be her bridesmaid.

A source close to The Sun claimed that Taylor Swift allegedly wants her longtime friend, Gigi Hadid, to be part of her bridal party. The source alleged that the two spoke about the plans for her party during a recent dinner in New York City, where the 30-year-old model was “thrilled” to be asked and accepted immediately.

On Sunday, the American pop singer’s fan account, The Taylor Swift Updates, reported on the social media platform X:

“Taylor Swift has reportedly asked Gigi Hadid to be a bridesmaid, and Selena Gomez is also expected to join the bridal party. The report states that the dinner in NYC, was where the offer was made and accepted.”

Notably, pop star Selena Gomez is also reported to join the Cruel Summer singer for her bridal party. After the reports on Taylor Swift’s bridal party became public, fans of the singer were quick to share their reaction. Commenting under the X post, one user jokingly wrote:

“Take that ed sheeran.”

While one Twitter user questioned whether Taylor would invite her friend, Brittany Mahomes, who is the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, others shared mixed reactions.

Meanwhile, the insider also told The Sun that the singer has allegedly finalized a list and plans to invite her friend, adding:

According to People, the Love Story singer opened up about the English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran finding out about the news of her engagement during the October 6, 2025, appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Taylor shared that her friend and collaborator for over a decade found that Travis Kelce got down on his knees through the social media platform Instagram.

While playing a game of That's So True, she was asked by the 51-year-old host whether Sheeran learned about her engagement on “Instagram.” Replying to it, the Grammy-winning artist said:

“That's so true… I have a perfect explanation… He doesn’t have a phone. And this is one thing I love about him.”

The singer explained the events of her proposal, claiming that she had only FaceTimed people whom she had “texted within the last like, month” of her life. Although Swift complained she couldn’t reach him, the Shake It Off artist further added:

“This is one of my absolute favorite people on the planet. Then, when the news came out I was like, ‘Oh my God we forgot to call Ed! Oh no!’... He’s like family. I love him. But he doesn’t have a phone!”
