Alt-country singer-songwriter Todd Snider has died at 59, a few weeks after being hospitalized following an assault. His record label announced the news on social media, stating that the singer died on Friday, November 14. The message posted on Saturday, November 15, reads:"Aimless, Inc. The Salt Lake City Tribune reported Snider's arrest on November 8, citing police video footage that captured the disheveled and disoriented musician being handcuffed. He was reportedly begging to be allowed into a hospital, claiming he had been mugged the previous night.Police bodycam footage from the arrest reportedly showed the singer having to tell the police that he wasn't homeless, according to AL.com, Alabama's news site. He can be heard saying:"I'm not homeless. I live in Nashville. I have a band. I'm famous."The arrest reportedly occurred after officers responded to a call about a disturbance involving Todd Snider, whom hospital staff described as being "loud" and "obnoxious."
