American musician Jay Weinberg and his wife shared an update on their expanding family. The former Slipknot drummer announced on Instagram on Wednesday, November 26, that they are expecting their first child together, sharing a picture of himself and Chloe outdoors, smiling at the camera while holding an ultrasound photo of their baby.Weinberg kept the caption brief, sharing the news along with his feelings about becoming a father. More fans also celebrated the good news and sent their well wishes, and the post now has over 30,000 likes.The pregnancy news comes five years after the couple married. They tied the knot on September 16, 2020, in a private ceremony. The drummer proposed a year earlier to his now-wife on the cliffs of Machu Picchu. In a December 2024 Instagram post, he stated that one of his ambitions in 2025 is to "record more music in the studio." He also intends to start working on his "own material," which he mentioned he had been writing for some time.His solo debut is marked by the release of his first single, titled Sandstone. Jay Weinberg officially released the track on November 19, featuring Deafhaven vocalist George Clarke. Weinberg performed all the instruments on the song. He talked about Sandstone in an interview with Wall of Sound, part of which he shared on his Instagram on the release day."It's the first song I've ever released under my own name."The former Slipknot member also teased that Sandstone is just the first in a series of many collaborations he's planning to release in the "early part of 2026." He also shared what inspired the collaborations for his solo EP."I feel like it's kind of a common thing when you meet friends on the road, and you always wanna be creative together.
