Paris Jackson continues her legal fight against her father Michael Jackson's estate executors in a new filing. The King of Pop's daughter filed an objection to the estate's 2021 accounting on Tuesday, November 18. She alleges that "enormous sums of cash" from her father's estate are going uninvested and further accuses John Branca and John McClain. She claimed in her filing, per The Mirror, that the executors are "deploying capital only where it had the potential to compensate them personally." The estate has reportedly not disclosed the accounting for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. But with the 2021 accounting available, Paris Jackson pointed out the discrepancy, including the executors allegedly taking home $10 million in that year. Following the review of the financial records, the filing states:"Paris is increasingly concerned the Estate has become the vehicle for John Branca to enrich and aggrandize himself, rather than serve the beneficiaries' best interests and steadfastly preserve her father's legacy."Paris further claimed that the executors have "completely failed to competently invest cash." She expressed her concern in the filing that the executors lack the financial interest in investing her father's estate fund in ways that would benefit the family, which includes her and her siblings.Paris Jackson calls out Michael Jackson's estate for his father's biopicBesides objecting to Michael Jackson's estate's 2021 accounting, Paris Jackson also called out her father's executors for approving the upcoming biopic, Michael. According to her filing on November 18, per US Weekly, she claimed that John Branca used his position as the biopic's executive producer to cast the "sole A-list actor" in the movie.Paris Jackson at the Queens Of The Stone Age In Concert (Image via Lisa Dragani/Getty Images)Paris took offense at the executor casting Miles Teller to play as himself in the upcoming biopic, saying:"Undoubtedly, Mr. Branca considers his story to be central to the Michael Jackson story. Nonetheless, it is clear how this peculiar and presumably costly casting decision will result in commensurate box office receipts."She further called out Branca's "lack of experience producing dramatic feature films." Paris claimed that it "may be the root of reports" that his late dad's estate had to funds tens of millions of dollars to do reshoots.According to the outlet, the film reportedly had to be reshot because the third act involved one of Michael's accusers, Jordan Chandler, and they couldn't talk about Jordan because of an old settlement agreement. Paris Jackson's filing called it a "botched production" of her father's long-overdue biopic, which she further claimed that his estate had invested "at least some, if not all of the $150 million budget."However, a source close to the Michael Jackson estate told People that Paris Jackson's latest filing is "another misguided attempt" of her attorneys to give themselves cover after losing their latest case against the estate.Michael Jackson's biopic is coming out in theaters on April 24, 2026.
