The viral video has started a debate about s*xual assault and double standards in the entertainment industry online. This was compounded by the fact that the woman appeared to be wearing a wedding ring. One X user accused her of being a predator, writing:

"This is s*xual assault and charges should be pressed against her. She’s a predator."

Mario faced criticism after a video of him kicking a cameraman offstage went viral

This is not the only instance where a clip of Mario's show has gone viral in recent times. Last month, a video of the singer repeatedly telling a cameraman to "get the f**k off the stage" during a performance of Braid My Hair went viral on social media.

According to People Magazine, the incident occurred on October 11, during Mario's set for "R&B Night Out" at The Big Fresno Fair in California. The singer received backlash for his behavior, with many accusing him of being unprofessional.

However, he claimed that the people were "misinformed" about the situation when he addressed the topic on his Instagram Story the following day. According to Vibe, he wrote that he was unaware that he would be filmed that day, adding that he was "distracted" by seeing the cameraman in his periphery and "almost tripped over the speaker" to avoid running into him.

“People are misinformed about the Fresno situation. No one told us a cameraman was shooting my set. I got to the show 10 min before my performance and went on stage," he wrote.

Mario added:

“A cameraman is not supposed to be that far down stage unless he’s with you and shooting you that close for a reason. It really can throw you off. In the midst of all of that while walking back stage right, I got frustrated and that’s when I said, ‘Yo you gotta get the f*ck off the stage.'"

He added that he would take "accountability" for being a "0 to 100 type of person." However, he also wrote that he did not want this one incident to taint his career, saying that he was a very professional person and anyone who worked with him could vouch for that.

Mario also apologized to the cameraman for getting "caught in the crossfire," adding that it was not personal and extending an invitation to film his "Nothing But Us Tour." He ended his statement with an "I love you" to his fans and a middle finger emoji to the "bots."
