Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine recently claimed that his record label owned 90% of his music, resulting in him receiving only 10% of his earnings. According to TMZ, 6ix9ine reportedly signed a potential $6 million deal with record label Kartel Music in October 2024. The publication reported that the rapper will record an album with Mexican regional artists, earning $1 million for a 10-song album.

He was also expected to tour across the United States, Mexico, and Central and South America, receiving $250,000 for each show of a tour. It is unclear whether Tekashi 6ix9ine is still with the same record label as of this article.

The rapper recently spoke about his record deal during a livestream with Adin Ross and Neon. According to a clip from the stream, which circulated on social media on November 18, 2025, Ross asked the rapper how much he earns from music, to which he responded:

"The f**king Jewish people like Adin own all of it... They own 90% of my music."

Both Ross and Neon reacted in shock, with the former calling the situation "bad."

6ix9ine's claims about his record deal were met with disbelief on social media, with one user claiming that his deal was worse than a 360 deal. For the uninitiated, a 360 deal is when a record label takes a percentage of revenue from an artist's concerts, television appearances, merchandise, publishing, and other appearances in addition to their music.

"That's worse than a 360 wow."

Several netizens claimed that the rapper's record deal should be taken as a "cautionary tale" about record labels.
