Lovato's Thanksgiving plate sparked a debate on social media about the meal's appeal. The plate received divisive responses from netizens on X, with one user calling it "nasty."

Several fans shared similar feelings. One user wrote that the plate will "go down as the worst Thanksgiving meal" they had ever seen.

Meanwhile, others claimed that the food looked appetizing. One fan called critics out for being "haters."

Demi Lovato recently shared their plans for their first Christmas with husband Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, adding that they were looking forward to spending time with family and baking sugar cookies. During an interview with E! News at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala on November 8, 2025, Lovato said:

"The traditions that I'm looking forward to are just getting together with the family. We do bake sugar cookies and decorate them the night before Christmas, so Christmas Eve, and I'm looking forward to doing that."

Demi Lovato and Jordan Lutes met in 2022 during a studio session when Lovato was working on her album Holy Fvck. They went public with their romance in August 2022, announcing their engagement in December 2023.

According to People Magazine, the proposal was "personal and intimate." Lutes proposed to Lovato with a bespoke pear-shaped diamond solitaire engagement ring by Material Good, a New York City-based luxury jewelry boutique.

On May 25, 2025, Demi Lovato and Jordan Lutes tied the knot at the Bellosguardo Estate in Santa Barbara in front of 135 friends and family. Lovato wore a Vivienne Westwood gown for the wedding, while Lutes sported a Vivienne Westwood suit.

During an interview with Who What Wear, published November 19, 2025, Demi Lovato spoke about meeting Lutes. They said he helped them through "deep depression" while they were "newly sober and raw" when working on Holy Fvck, adding:

"We became friends before we became lovers. I opened up to him because I was going through a really rough time when I made Holy Fvck. I had just come out of treatment, and I was newly sober and raw with my emotions. I had nothing to medicate with. He was there for me as a friend, helping me get through this deep depression I was in," Lovato said.

Demi Lovato also said the "timing was perfect," adding that her love and marriage "organically happened" despite society's pressure.

"I had expected to be married by a certain age. There's all this pressure that society puts on you, but it just organically happened. I'm really happy. I told my husband today, 'I've never been more in love with you. I didn't know my love could grow for you more so than it already has.' The timing was perfect."

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato was previously criticized during Thanksgiving in 2020 for posting a picture of a roasted turkey weeks after visiting California's Farm Sanctuary, where she had posed with one of the sanctuary's turkeys.

According to The Independent, the photo was used on the organization's official Instagram page on Thanksgiving to campaign against people killing and eating turkeys.
