"I don't think Cardi's a liar" - DJ Akademiks reacts to Cardi B refuting reports of Stefon Diggs and Offset getting into a fight in the club

DJ Akademiks recently reacted to Cardi B refuting viral claims of Offset and Stefon Diggs having an altercation. According to Hot New Hip Hop, rumors of Offset, Cardi's estranged husband, and Diggs, Cardi's current boyfriend, clashing at the Booby Trap club in Miami circulated on social media on December 6, 2025.

The rumor was first purported on X by Alexis for GoatTVDaily, who alleged that Offset "pulled up" at the club when Cardi B and Stefon Diggs were there. She further added that Diggs tried to have security block Offset, but the security let the rapper in, resulting in a "lil scuffle once he got inside but nothing more than that."

The rumor, which was reshared on Instagram by account Livebitez, was denied by Cardi B, who responded in a comment:

"Not true at all..."

DJ Akademiks reacted to the rumor and Cardi B's denial in a subsequent Rumble livestream on December 7, 2025, adding that he believed the Magnet rapper. He further reiterated his previous statement that it was Cardi's responsibility to ensure that the situation between the two men didn't escalate to violence, adding:

"Now, Cardi did respond to this, and Cardi said this is cap. She said, 'Not true at all.' So she saying this never happened. And, imma keep it a beat with you, I don't think Cardi is a liar. And also, I did say, I think it's Cardi's responsibility to the best of her ability to keep both men apart."

He continued:

"Both are baby daddies, I don't care if she f**k with Stefon now, Offset is still her husband technically, and also the father of three other children. If she don't want one of these n***as to go to jail or go to hell, she should probably make sure they don't link, at all."

Cardi B's estranged husband was previously accused of attempting to "set up" Stefon Diggs

On November 24, 2025, Instagram model Jordyn Gorr accused Offset of enlisting her help to "set up" Stefon Diggs, posting a screenshot of her alleged text thread with the rapper on her Instagram Story. One alleged text from Offset read, "Give drop or don't come back around," suggesting that he was asking the model for Diggs' location. Gorr had captioned the screenshot:

"@offsetyrn keep violating me but stay in my phone asking me to help set up steffon. pleaseeee!! super tender (shrimp emoji)"

Meanwhile, a source close to Offset reportedly denied the claim, telling TMZ Hip Hop in a statement that the model "has an ongoing beef with Set and is now looking to blow this up into something it's not. Their feud has no connection to Diggs."

DJ Akademiks shared his thoughts about Gorr's claims in a Rumble livestream at the time, where he alleged that he spoke to the model and tried to talk her "off the ledge" before she posted the screenshots. He also claimed that it was on Cardi B to try to de-escalate the situation between the two men, adding:

"I do think this put Cardi B in a really precarious situation. And this is where I think I'll...respectfully, this is gonna define what type of woman Cardi B is to me. Because anytime you see two n***as that's ready to either hurt each other or possibly kill each other, and the person in the middle, not saying she's amping it..."

Akademiks continued:

"It is upon Cardi B to understand that these two men are probably teetering at the point of extreme violence if they come in contact with each other. It is incumbent on you...you should know, unless you want one of your baby daddies to go to jail or get killed, you need to handle that in a certain way."

Neither Stefon Diggs nor Offset has responded to the claims about their alleged altercation as of this article.
