A judge has reportedly blocked the request for a restraining order against Jay-Z, filed by Lillie Collie, guardian of Rymir Satterthwaite. She alleged that the rapper filing for sanctions against her was "retaliatory" because of her support for Satterthwaite.

Rymir Satterthwaite is a musician who claims that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, is his father. He also filed a motion in court to urge the rapper to take a DNA test. After his mother, Wanda Satterthwaite, died in 2019, Lillie Collie has been his guardian. Recently, Collie filed for a temporary restraining order against the rapper, claiming he is filing for sanctions against her only because she supports Satterthwaite.

However, as reported by Complex, U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett rejected the motion last week. Therefore, Carter can pursue potential sanctions against Collie and Satterthwaite, having repeatedly denied their allegations.

Jay-Z officially has three kids, all with Beyoncé, whom he married in 2008. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in 2012. Beyoncé then gave birth to twins, Rumi and Sir, in 2017. The rapper has vehemently denied Satterthwaite's claims that he is his illegitimate son.

Meanwhile, the plaintiff dropped his lawsuit, which he had been fighting since 2010, in July of this year. He said during a live stream that he is dropping the case for unrelated reasons, but his fight will continue. He said (h/t Complex):

"I have not stopped my fight. I did withdraw my case, but it's for a reason. It's not because I'm stopping it or I'm going to refile. It's just a lot going on behind closed doors [...] I have not gotten any DNA test. I have not gotten a settlement. It is not over."

Satterthwaite alleges that Jay-Z impregnated his mother when she was just 16 in 1992, with the rapper being 22 at the time. He has urged the Roc Nation founder to take a DNA test.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, published on December 17, 2024, he said:

“My late mother, Wanda, was just 16 years old when she became pregnant with me, and for years I have sought clarity about my identity. This is not about greed or spectacle – it’s about uncovering the truth and ensuring all parties are held accountable. Despite my efforts, Mr Carter has never once written a letter to me to address these claims – whether to deny or acknowledge paternity, or to address why his attorney’s committed this fraud.”

Carter, meanwhile, has consistently denied these allegations. His team responded to Satterthwaite's lawsuit on July 10 this year, stating:

“The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected — in multiple other courts and [Satterthwaite’s] continued harassment of [Jay-Z] and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order.”

They alleged that the lawsuit is part of a "decades-long harassment" campaign against the Roc Nation founder.
